This site is owned by Easy Computing Publishing SA-NV and is utilized as a portal site by Multidis SA-NV and Easy Computing bv.
Easy Computing is a publishing house specialized in PC software and books.
Multidis is a multimedia products distributor and provides also logistical services to software publishers. Easy Computing and Multidis are sister companies.
A short history
Everything started by 2 partners in the summer of 1989, as a single company under the name of Easy Computing.
Originally the company distributed products for the Commodore Amiga and computer books. In the beginning years, we were also involved in digital video, we participated to projects in accounting and business planning software development.
But from the start, the focus was set on the distribution of the books and software of Micro Application. Micro Application was one of our first principals and partner. Our partnership grew rapidly and today Micro Application is still a major part of our activities in Belgium.
In 1993, Easy Computing made a big leap forward starting its Dutch language publishing activity. A daughter company was set up in The Netherlands, Easy Computing BV. For 7 years from 1993, we worked closely with the German company Data Becker. In 1991, it reached annual sales of € 1.000.000. At the end of 1994, it reached € 2.000.000. By mid-1997, it reached € 5.000.000.
In 2001, we reengineered our publishing activities. We started building a pool of Dutch authors and we found new republishing partners.
In 2006, we decided to reorganize the companies and the publishing activities (Easy Computing Publishing SA-NV and Easy Computing BV) were separated from the distribution one (Multidis SA-NV).
The organization
The companies are privately held and operate from two locations: Brussels and Haarlem in the Netherlands. Globally, we employ more than 30 people.
